1. The two players to the left of the dealer place out blind bets. The player straight to the dealer’s left places the small blind while the player two to the dealer’s left places the big blind.

2. Each player is flipped two cards, face down. These are named hole or pocket cards.

3. The action, or the initial move, falls on the player to the left of the big blind. She/he can moreover call the bet, raise it, or fold. Betting goes on around the table, clockwise.

4. After the betting is done, three cards are flipped face up in the middle of the table, which is referred to as the board. The primary three cards in Texas Holdem poker are named the flop. These cards are “community cards” meaning everybody can (and will) apply them in grouping with their personal hole cards to create the top hand.

5. From the flop on, betting starts with the player to the dealer’s left, who is able to check or bet.

6. A fourth card is flipped face up onto the board. This is named Fourth Street or the turn card.

7. One more round of betting.

8. The last card is dealt face up. This card is as well named Fifth Street or the river.

9. A last round of betting happens. The residual players expose their cards and the player who can create the top five card hand by mixing their pocket cards with the cards on the board succeeds.
